The challenge
The management team at Volkswagen PON Financial Services wanted faster reporting and better insights into their customer portfolio. The existing reports were time-consuming, error-prone and already outdated by the time they were delivered. Changes to the data warehouse took months.
The approach
Connected Data Group built a modern BI platform with automated data feeds and interactive dashboards. Through data virtualisation via Spotfire Data Virtualization, direct access to all sources was achieved without complex ETL projects. The platform is designed for self-service: users can adjust reports and generate new insights themselves.
The result
Reporting turnaround went from two days to real time. More than 15 interactive dashboards are live and used daily by management. Changes that used to take three to six months can now be made in minutes.
